What’s “our content”
Our content means anything that’s available on this website. Including but not limited to:
- Text
- Audio
- Video
- Images
- Technical things such as metadata and open-source code
- Anything else that’s protected by copyright.
Shareable content – what you can do and have to do
You can share our content that is made to be shared. You can identify these content by locating the social media share buttons for posting to Facebook, X, or for sending to someone via WhatsApp and email and so on. Bear in mind that when you share on social media platforms, they have their own sets of rules, which you can find on their platforms.
When you share our content, you have to
- make sure to add a credit in a prominent place next to the content, if a credit is not included already. For example, you can put “Source – chineseinbetween.com”. Add a hyperlink to the shareable’s original location, right next to the credit.
- make sure it’s displayed accurately. Don’t change anything, including not to remove any tagging or tracking.
However, if you are sharing our content for the purposes below, you will need to get our permission first:
- You are using the content to make a profit.
- You are using the content to do your job, as in what you are hired to do.
- You are using the content for educational, charitable and governmental uses.

The website was developed for informational purposes. You understand and agree that you are fully responsible for your use of the information provided on the website. We’re not responsible for anything that happens to you when you use a shareable, if:
- There are technical issues such as errors, interruptions, delays, bugs or viruses
- Our content has been removed or changed for moderation, or improvement purposes
- The thing that happens couldn’t reasonably have been foreseen
- The thing that happens wouldn’t usually happen
- You and we hadn’t agreed that this thing would probably happen in the event of a mishap.
Shareable content – what you can’t do
- Don’t use them to insult, mislead, discriminate, or promote illegal things, pornography, weapons. Basically, do not use the shareable to offend or harm.
- Don’t use them to charge for a profit. They have to be free.
- Don’t associate advertisement or sponsorship to them, meaning you cannot place any advertisement in, or near the shareable content.
- Don’t alter the copyright. You cannot credit anyone else besides us for our content.
When you need a permission to use our content
When you use anything from our website, including:
- Clips
- Photos
- Text
- Our logo and other branding
- Metadata
- Anything else that’s protected by copyright,
you’ll need a permission. We don’t have copyright for external content that is embedded in our content. You’ll need to ask their permission should you use these content.
